2021 Help is on the Way

2020 has been a challenging year for everyone, but 2021 has a much more optimistic outlook. While the new year will start in a difficult place, there are several positive expectations that should felt by late spring or early summer of 2021.

COVID-19 Vaccine

The Pfizer and Moderna vaccines were both approved recently and help protect millions of people worldwide against COVID-19 Pandemic. If the vaccine is distributed and administered in according to expectations, the US could achieve herd immunity by late 2021 which will have an unprecedentedly positive effect on our quality of life and economic fortunes.

COVID Relief Bill

Congress overwhelmingly passed a $900 billion COVID-19 Relief Bill recently that provides $600 stimulus payments to individuals, adds $300 to extended weekly unemployment benefits, and provides more than $300 billion in aid for small businesses. UCLA Economic Forecast

The December forecast offers hope of a robust recovery from the current recession, based on the assumption that mass vaccinations would clear a path toward a new, productive normalcy for many industries. The vaccine would help release pent-up consumer demand over the next year, leading to a strong recovery. The California forecast is that the technology sectors, residential construction and logistics will lead the recovery, and that post-pandemic California will grow faster than the U.S. as a whole, although the state’s recovery is expected to begin later. Presidential Inauguration

On January 20, 2021, Joe Biden will be sworn in as the 46th President of United States. Americans will remain politically divided, but there is hope of a new beginning in addressing the multitude of problems that this nations faces. Perhaps, we can put aside the hate and division to defeat the coronavirus through our common purpose. Help is on the way, let’s unite and take advantage of it.
