wash8634new1Midland has recently leased 1,248 square feet of  retail/creative space in Culver City.              Jonathan Varsano of Vars Real Estate represented both the tenant and the landlord on the lease transaction. The commercial retail space will be a grand opening to a brand new concept for Bash Please called Midland in the Arts District of Culver City on the corner of Washington Blvd and Sherbourne Dr near Helms Bakery. Jonathan Varsano has over 20 years experience in commercial real estate in the Culver City area. His office is located at 10220 Culver Blvd, Suite 202 in Culver City, 90232.

Owners of Midland, Paige and Kelly are excited to bring their newest vision to the Arts District of Culver City. Although this will be the first brick and mortar location for them, their vast travels will serve as inspiration for the unique products their store will be carrying, items such as garden seeds, rare chocolate, leather journals, handkerchiefs, organic hemp t-shirts. Their collective goal is to inspire us, delight us and to fulfill our conscious goals. Their store will have a minimal aesthetic focusing on earthy textures such as brick, wood, clay, concrete, cactus and bright light. It will be a Santa Fe meets California cool meets Japanese minimalism. Their merchandise will be as much local as they will be imported and  they will speak to all for something unexpected and unique.

Paige and Kelly are owners and creative directors of a Los Angeles based event planning company Bash Please. They have been in business for seven years with now five associates, published a design book  by Rizzoli called ‘The New Fashioned Wedding’, worked with a catalog of clients from all over the country, and have been featured in publications such as Martha Stewart, Sunset, C Mag, Vogue, Better Homes & Gardens, In Style, Brides, Elle, Us Weekly, Real Simple, Marie Claire, Geraldine, Kinfolk, and countless online blogs and websites.

Before working together, Paige was in the film industry and Kelly was in advertising. With this new venture they are hoping to broaden their horizons and really connect with the community through a selection of curated goods from all over the world. They have been called the ‘Los Angeles Tastemakers’, the ‘Nexus of a Cool Wedding’, and a one stop shop for the best event in America. Next time you want to pick up a unique gift for someone else  or you’re just looking to pique your interest, pop over to the Arts District in Culver City and check out Midland located at 8634 Washington Blvd.
