Meet Jon Varsano
Jon Varsano is the Founder, President, and Broker of Vars Real Estate, a boutique commercial real estate brokerage serving Greater Los Angeles. Since founding the company in 2011, he has built a reputation for providing strategic guidance and personalized service to landlords, tenants, buyers, sellers, investors, entrepreneurs, and nonprofit organizations throughout the region. With more than 30 years of commercial real estate experience and over three decades as a California licensed real estate broker, Jon has represented clients across retail, office, industrial, medical, mixed-use, automotive, and investment properties.
Jon’s real estate career began by managing a family-owned portfolio of commercial investment properties, providing him with firsthand experience in ownership, leasing, property management, acquisitions, and asset operations. He later joined Grubb & Ellis as an Associate Vice President in the Retail Group, where he specialized in the leasing and acquisition of commercial retail properties throughout Southern California. He also served as Director of Acquisitions for Progressive Real Estate before founding Vars Real Estate.
Earlier in his career, Jon was President of Automated Laundry Systems, where he managed the sales, operations, and growth of a commercial laundry equipment distributorship and business brokerage. He later founded Web Retool, a web development and digital marketing company serving the real estate industry. Through Web Retool, he taught website development and online marketing workshops for Keller Williams Realty offices throughout Southern California while also training web designers and marketing professionals.
Throughout his career, Jon has remained committed to education and mentoring. He has trained newly licensed real estate agents, transaction coordinators, assistants, interns, and administrative professionals while delivering presentations to business organizations, networking groups, and community organizations. His practical, hands-on approach emphasizes professionalism, ethics, negotiation, and real-world application.
Jon earned a Bachelor of Arts in Business Economics with an Accounting concentration from the University of California, Santa Barbara, and completed additional studies in investments, architecture, and stock market analysis at Cambridge University in England. He has been licensed as a California Real Estate Broker since 1993.
An active community leader, Jon has served as Treasurer of the Yucca Corridor Coalition, President and Founder of the El Rincon Elementary School Booster Club, a member of the Culver City Unified School District Bond Oversight Committee, and Chairperson of Temple Akiba’s Meals for the Needy Mitzvah Day program. He has also supported numerous school booster clubs, PTAs, local business organizations, and community initiatives throughout his career.

Outside of real estate, Jon enjoys skiing, cycling, soccer, hiking, golf, and photography. A former AYSO youth soccer coach, he continues to value teamwork, leadership, and community involvement both professionally and personally.
